What Are Sushi Cards?

Sushi cards are South Brunswick CoderDojo's choice of curriculum. They are essentially web-based guides to programming that Ninjas follow during our workshops. They encourage readers to answer questions, explore concepts, and take control of their hands-on learning.

During a workshop, Ninjas will choose a sushi card that interests them. For the rest of the class, Ninjas will follow the steps and explorations within their sushi card. Whenever Ninjas get stuck, they will come to their mentors for help. Mentors are instructed to not directly fix a Ninja's work, rather, they should ask questions and lead students to their own answers. This encourages Ninjas to become problem solvers.
